A Blessings
Did you count your blessings one by one? Sometimes i will ask myself how many blessings i receive for today, yesterday past few days? I cannot count even i wanted to. Being your friend is also a blessing. I ask hubby the other day to write our love story that i want also to share with you. He did not write yet because he is busy doing something in our farm. Well, I will start to share my aunt's love story. She is my mom's younger sister. I can tell you how she met her husband and why i know. Heheh well, i am her chaperon. Everywhere she go i am always there. By the way maybe you will ask how old is my aunt, she is just 2 years older than myself. I will tell her story in a form of summary lang because its too long. One of our neighbors have a sister in Leyte and he has a nephew who visited them that year. He was sort like shy at first but after a while of staying in our place he has a lot of friends. One of them was my aunt. They dated many times and my grandpa decided to make me a chaperon because i really talk and not lying to my grandpa. They met not in my aunt's house but somewhere that nobody saw them. I don't like what they did because that makes people think bad. You know people in a barrio they always like to talk to somebody even though they don't have any idea whats true or not. One time i did not go with my aunt because i felt like i am disturbing even my grandpa get upset still i don't like to go. My aunt one day got preggy and the guy ask permission to my grand parents their blessings to let them get married. It did but the problem the guy don't have enough money to do the married thing he ask permission to my aunt to go back home in Leyte and ask some help to his parents. My aunt really love him gave permission and the guy was gone and went to Leyte. Days past, months they guy did not come back again. My aunt got upset and it seems that she has a bad behavior. She was angry with everybody. Nine months pass still the guy did not came back and my aunt was delivering a cute little baby boy and i am happy to help my aunt to take care of the baby. The problem was she got angry with the baby too and i decided to keep the baby and raise it. After she delivered the baby i am the one who cared the bay. for seven months i felt i love the baby and want his mom to love him. Still we did not heard about the guy. The baby became big and he has his first birthday and the mom felt like change she was taking care of her baby again. So i just help her to do that. We love the boy and he was handsome just like the father. After 2 years the father came back and asked forgiveness of what he done to my aunt. Because love is stronger than anything my aunt forgive him. They decided to get married and gave the boy the real baptism with the father's family name. They are happily married now and have 4 kids.
A Walk To Remember
Did you remember this love story? Yes i did and my tears really fell down when i watch this movie long time ago. To refresh it i found the story in Mr. Wiki. Here it goes...
When a prank on a fellow high-school student goes wrong, popular but rebellious Landon Carter (Shane West) is threatened with expulsion. His punishment is mandatory participation in various after-school activities, such as tutoring disadvantaged children and performing in the drama club's spring musical. At these functions he is forced to interact with quiet, bookish Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), a girl he has known for many years but with whom he has rarely ever spoken. Their differing social statures leave them worlds apart, despite their close physical proximity.
When Landon has trouble learning his lines, he asks Jamie for help. She agrees to help him if he promises not to fall in love with her. Landon laughs off the strange remark, believing Jamie to be the last person with whom he would ever fall in love. After all, Landon has access to the prettiest and most popular girls in town; and between her shy demeanor and old-fashioned wardrobe, Jamie doesn't exactly fall into that category.
Landon and Jamie begin practicing together at her house after school. The two form a tentative friendship, and Landon learns that Jamie has a wish list of all the things she hopes to do in her life, such as getting a tattoo and being in two places at once. One day, Jamie approaches Landon at his locker, where he is hanging out with some of his friends. When Jamie asks Landon if they are still on for practice that afternoon he smirks "In your dreams". His friends laugh and Landon's smirk falters as Jamie's face fills with betrayal and embarrassment. That afternoon Landon arrives at Jamie's house, hoping that Jamie will still agree to help him. But she refuses to open the door. When she eventually does, she sarcastically remarks that they can be "secret friends". She slams the door in his face when he agrees. Landon eventually learns the script by himself.
During the play, Jamie astounds Landon and the entire audience with her beauty and voice. Landon kisses Jamie during the play, which was not in the script, and Landon tries to get close to Jamie, but she repeatedly rejects him. It is only after a mean joke played on Jamie by Landon's friends that Jamie agrees to get to know Landon, and the two pursue a relationship. He takes her out to dinner and dances with her, something he never did for anyone else. When he discovers that Jamie has a wish list, he sets out to help her accomplish them. One memorable date had Landon taking Jamie to the state line. He excitedly positions her on the line in just the right way, and when Jamie asks him what he's doing he tells her "You're in two places at once". Her face lights up with joy, as she realizes that Landon set out to make her impossible dreams come true.
Jamie finally tells Landon that she has terminal leukemia and has stopped responding to treatments. As Jamie is hospitalized, Landon fulfills various wishes on Jamie's list, such as building her a telescope so she can see a comet. Through this process, Landon and Jamie learn more about the nature of love. The movie ends with Jamie's death, but only after the couple are married in the same chapel as was Jamie's deceased mother, the event that topped Jamie's wish list. Landon himself becomes a better person through Jamie's memory, achieving the goals that he set out to do, like she did.
Four years later, Landon visits Jamie's father. It is obvious that Jamie helped him to focus and become a better person. For example, he reveals he has finished college and been accepted to medical school; prior to meeting her he had no plans for life after high school. He tells Jamie's father that he is sorry he could not grant Jamie's wish to witness "a miracle" before she died. Her father says "She did. It was you".

Entry #8 - Finding One True Love
Each one of us has different story of how, what, where and when we found our true love, mine is complicated… Actually I already wrote my love story in the notepad at work, and all of my workmates read that one already, I wrote it because I wanted to share that even the hopes I had was just one strand in my hair however I never gave up of Finding One True Love. If I put all the details of my love story here we will need chapter 2 and 3 so to make it a little short this was what happen:
I already long for a family since then, for I don’t have parents at all since I was in my 1st grade. When I graduated in college with my own determination I fell in love with a wrong man that made me a single mom, however even it was hard for me to raise up a kid on my own, I continued my journey with my baby. Until I was introduced by a friend of a match making in the net, I joined, and met few men out there. And got hurt in the end. You know the feeling of how painful it is however you can’t show it for your baby felt it too? Yes MJ knows if I’m hurt or not, that’s why I kept my feeling inside. I cried so loud in silence.
I was discourage though because even how true you are, there were still people whose kindness of the face is a façade that when they turn their back on you, they have another plan, and that is of just making you a fool. Year of 2006 that was October, after how many years of praying in St. Jude Parish here in Davao, my prayers was heard. I was depressed and tired of trying to find someone who would accept me as what I am and what I’m not. I wrote this poem in the website I joined:
No matter how many times
that I rewind
The good and bad memories in my mind
Can't seem to get used to, this "new" me
full of hurt; some regret, reality
Felt it was coming, just didnt know when
The way I feel can no longer pretend
for theres more to the story, than whats being told
the he said she said its getting old
Time for a change, Im tired of trying
Can only do so much, did too much crying
In the midst of my confusion,
This much I know
I still long to hear someone say
I dont want you to go
I didn’t know that there’s someone out there, a good soul who read my poem with all his heart, I caught his attention of what I wrote and he said to himself “this girl is sincere… at first we were just being casual, just say hi and hello, I thought he was just a passing by friend, a friend who would see u today and never see u tomorrow and the next day, At that time he came to my life, I was a bit confused, I have some reasons and I don’t want to be unfair. I asked Terry to wait for me if he can, and he said yes, he understand for I never lied to him. It was late October when I went again to St. Jude Parish and ask for guidance, just a little sign for me to know. I was surprised when I received a bunch of flowers in my bday, a bunch of red roses in the basket, and a card. It was from Terry, I was crying at that time and asked was he the one I’ve waited for so long? I had never received any flowers from anyone, I was like floating in the air. I was in heaven.
I said thank you the next day we chatted, while we were chatting I have a friend from Missouri whom sometimes I confided on, I told him about Terry. She said why don’t I give it a try. He seems so sincere. After I chatted with her and Terry. I went home, however there’s something in me, saying I need to do something in my life. A change.
I called Terry at 12 midnight though he was snoring he answered my call. Even though a little bit scared I asked: If Ill say yes will it be forever? And he answered “ My dream is to have a family and to share my life with the person I love and can be one with them and accept them in to my life and I promise that you will be my first treasure and that all promises made before GOD are irrevocable and I will not go from you. I belong to you. I cried and said Yes.. He replied immediately I love you and I replied back “ I love you, too.
I thought things will be now easy, He would book his flight as we agreed to and go and see me here, however we’ve been tested. Two days before he will come here. He was delivered to hospital for his right foot was swelling and its hard for him to even walk. The doctor advised him not to travel yet. So we post pone his flight from January to March, He was so excited to tell me even I saw him like he was sick, that on the day after tomorrow we will be seeing each other finally, but when he was already in the airport he was detected that he has a flu and he cannot get into the plane, he called me and said “I’m sorry, but I want to tell you, I won’t give up… So we post pone again the flight from March to April… now this was the worst, he forgot his ticket when he was there at the airport, he went back home to get the ticket, however when he got back to the airport, The plane was not there already… when he called me I felt like a pail of water was thrown on me. I was really upset. Really, really upset. You know what holds me? His promise… His promise of we will gonna make a family and we will love each other forever. Yes I didn’t let go, I love him… I don’t care of the cancelled flights, I don’t care of what my other friends were saying all I care was that this feelings and I know.. I can feel it that he loves me as much as I love him. 21st of May… As we agreed of his final flight, He called me in San Francisco and said “ I am on my way” the next day As I was sleeping yet in the pad of my workmate, I received a call from him saying… “I’m already here, in the airport…” I woke up my workmate and said I gotta go.. he’s here… Though I was late, when I came to the airport he gave me a warm smile and a tight hug… Finally we made it!
As promised he gave me our engagement ring on the day he arrived. Now, though we still have trials, we remain firm and strong for our fortress is our little faith who was just born last February 8 and our brave mj. By the way he accepted mj as his daughter.

Ladder Of Love - A Chinese Love Story
This is a story that i saw in the news about a Chinese Liu Guojiang. Here is his love story. The tale of a 70-year-old Chinese man who hand-carved over 6,000 stairs up a mountain for his 80-year-old wife has moved millions of people in 2006, Wednesday morning the man passed away in the cave, which has been the couple's home for the last 50 years. The story began half a century ago when 20-year-old Liu Guojiang fell in love with widowed mother Xu Chaoqing.
In a twist worthy of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, friends and relatives criticized the relationship because of the age difference and the fact that Xu already had children.
Desperate to escape market gossip and the scorn of their communities, the pair eloped to live in a cave in Jiangjin County in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.Their story came atop a list of China's top ten love stories organized by the Chinese Women Weekly, which collected tales from around the country since July.
At the beginning, life was harsh and Xu felt that she had tied Liu down and repeatedly asked him, "Are you regretful?"
Liu always replied, "As long as we are industrious, life will improve." Liu and his wife were not present at the award ceremony due to their age, but their son, Liu Mingsheng, came with a kerosene lamp that his father had made from an ink bottle.
"My parents have lived in seclusion for more than 50 years because of their love for each other. They had no electricity and my father made kerosene lamps to lighten our lives," he said.
"My mother seldom goes down the mountain, but my father cut the 6,000-plus stairs for her convenience," Liu said. "It's a ladder of love."

Their love story has been recorded by local TV station:

Entry # 7 - Virtual Love
Me, i didn't dream nor plan marrying a foreigner. But due to my age adding so fast. I feel i need to seek and find of my own. I can marry a "Filipino" if ? if ? i choose to, because "Filipino" men loves women knows how to earn money by their own way, In fact i started to stand on my feet at the age of sixteen (16) i don't need somebody or someone else except me, I don't need somebody to fed me, I can raise and stand of my own with the help of my brain and charming smiles.I am pure , single , Of course nor so pretty but not so ugly i guess.I met my hubby thru online dating so not every "Filipina" looking for love is unknowledgeable , lack of eduction , because i am a true example of "Filipina" not a con artist nor a scammer asking for money.{Be careful thats all i can say to those who seek their soul mate online. Yes.,its me...but due to my age, alone, for how many years living alone to my apartment with my room mate sister i still fell emptiness, even i have lots of my so called best-friends called my pocket novels or paper backs still empty inside, slowly my room mate got married one by one . I felt the world so small in me. Then started to get jealous when i saw their kids growing up.Of course i am the God Mother for always (in our tongue we called it ninang) i got tired and longing for someone.SOmeone will loved me for the rest of my days, Someone that i can talk to, someone that i can debate and talk anything under the sun rather having sex is the symbol of love or money for that matters. Everyone of us has each own unique ways of finding true love but me, myself i found my true love on
Virtual love called online dating, I met my husband from online , now for almost 3 years. We were still together loving and understanding one each other and hopefully our love-relationship continue prosper and grow everyday of our lives.
Entry #6 - A Million Words: My Love Story
My love story consists of over 100 voice tapes, 200+ letters, countless post cards, and 3 weddings. There would be five less children in this world if I had not gotten annoyed.
I was in my second year of college when I received a letter from Texas. The picture enclosed looked like Superman’s; I was smitten. I was 18, no boyfriend because of my mother’s many watchdogs. There were many chaperons. I was more interested in love story from books, not in being someone’s girlfriend. I went on movie dates, but only if three or more of my cousins come along. They’d sit between my date and me. I preferred books to boys.
My very first letter to David was out of ire and indignation over one of his paragraphs in his first letter. After two pages though, I started enjoying myself. I’ve never written such long, unrehearsed letter before. I thought he said that he’s not expecting to met anyone as smart as him. He was horrified when he found out I thought that.
I enjoyed our correspondence because I can talk about anything in our letters. Between the two of us, we wrote every day. It was like having conversation in print with answers arriving 2 to 3 weeks later.
I made it clear that I will not be bossed around. He said it’s okay, he already has a dog. I informed him I won’t clean up after him like a maid; he answered with a behavioral contract. It contain his promise not to order me around, expect me to clean up after him, if we quarrel, how long he’ll be gone to cool off, and a promise not to raise his voice at me unless the house’s on fire. My mother didn’t mind the letters thinking it won’t interfere with my school. Then 3 months into writing, David said we’re going steady because we have discuss things equivalent to two years of dating. We’ve talked about our ideal marriage, what kind of spouse were looking for, what kind of wife I will be and many more. In September, he proposed. I accepted. It was only three months since his first letter. We felt we have gotten to know each other. When he mentioned visiting me I thought he’s just visiting to met. I procrastinated so long; it was two days before he’s scheduled to arrive before I realized that we’re going to have a wedding. I have to arrange a wedding in two days! My relatives helped me. Even with such a short notice, I had about 300 guests. Our wedding day in October, 1991 was beautiful. The wedding ceremony lasted almost 2 hours! The ceremony was only 20 minutes; the rest was a long lecture. He had a weekend to get married, and his job called him back home. We decided to get intimate after we’ve gotten to know each other in person longer than 2 days. I would not see my husband again for six months. I was a virgin wife. I was heartbroken when he left. We had another wedding in May, 1992. Five years later, we had our 3rd wedding, Jewish style. Here we are 17 years later. Five children and still very much in love.

Entry #5 - The Man Of My Dreams
"The poorest man of all men is not a man without a cent but a man without a dream."
This is exactly what my love struggles are all about.
Like any ordinary girl, I have dreams and ambitions. Since I was a kid I dreamt of marrying an American man. I am very much attracted to their physical appearance and the thought that mixed race babies are appealing to me. I have always promised myself to marry one someday.
During my third and fourth years in high school, I started seeing tons of US Navies and Marines in our city. I was too young and naive at the time that I even cut classes just to see them. Most of these men were at the Balikatan Exercises in Luzon, training Filipino soldiers with equipped weapons during former President Estrada's term. My friends and I went there to see them. We made friends with a few and it was indeed a great experience to have at least known some foreign men in them. As determined as I was to make it possible for me to communicate with the man in my dreams, I learned the internet.I started exchanging e-mails when I was 17, met a few in person. At age 18, I had my first American boyfriend from Arkansas. I was extremely happy then because he was my type. Boy, he was very attractive with his blond hair and blue eyes. He went to visit me in my hometown and finally met him in person. It didn’t work for us though because we broke up after 5 months. I was devastated. He broke up with me for no apparent reason at all. I tried reaching him on the phone several times at first but all I got was his answering machine. Later on he spoke to me but in a cold manner. I couldn’t believe what he did to me. It took a while for me to recover from that heart ache. I had moved on anyway.
Months later I met another guy online who was from California. He had the same physical attributes as the latter guy. On my, I can’t believe I easily fall for the same looks. For the second time around, I got all disappointed again as they guy came to meet two other ladies besides me. I thought for sure we have been serious to each other. I had been expecting too much all along. Not only that I saw other two girls but he had been window shopping for more. That was a shame. I was all embarrassed I couldn’t stand it I had to run out of the airport where I went to fetch him. He was sorry and begged for me to marry him. I didn’t get fooled by his drama and ended everything between us.
I didn’t give up and moved on to another hope of meeting someone I deserve. I met another one who was from Florida. He was all busy with his business so did with his child in his previous marriage. He had the chance to tour Europe and never to see me. It was all over for us quickly.
I’ve been hurt a few times and along the way it made me even pickier. I had almost found anything wrong in a person just to make sure I will end up with someone truthful to me. In just a little mistake such as misspelling of certain words put me off so easily from the guy.
It was in the middle of Feb.2004 on CB, I was checking my account to see who sent me a message. There were few mails and Sandy was one of them who wrote me. He first said hi along with all other information about him. I looked at this pictures posted and oh, he is so cute. And so I got back to his mail and replied with just very short note telling that he is cute and that I want to get to know more about him. That’s all it. The following day, he sent his quick reply again but I just ignored it, never took the time to reply him back because I was not interested with him.
Meantime, I myself was busy chatting and e-mailing with others except him. I was still trying hard to look for a possible mate who can bring me to the aisle. There came a time, it was 2 weeks after he sent me his first mail actually when I checked my mails and it was empty. I returned to his dormant mail which I never tried to response and read it again. I did reply to it and gave my Yahoo ID so we get to chat. Yes, for the first time we chatted. I could tell the way he hurl his words to me that he is the gentleman type, soft spoken and polite. But still I'm not interested with him because I thought "he’s too good-looking for me” and enough for cute men, they only play with your heart.
I asked him money with the intention of pushing him away and never wanting to chat with me again because I know for a fact once you ask money from foreigners they will never get back to you and get turned off for they might think that you're only up to it. This man is different. He never got discouraged instead he sent me $100 the following day. I really was surprised once informed by the money transfer office that I got something from him. So I got the money and thanked him with a promise to myself that I will only focus on him.
After four months of exchanging e-mail, chats and phone calls he decided to see me. It was in time for my 21st birthday when he proposed to me telling my father, "Elson, I came across thousand miles to marry Anne because I'm in love with her”. Even before he turned tome and declared his intention, I got teary-eyed already.
The moment, he knelt down holding the engagement ring while the other hand holding my hand asking, "Anne, will you marry me?" I got speechless. Where did my voice go? Could it be that my tongue shrunk? Now crying even more and finally I was able to respond, “Yes, I will marry you Sandy" We got formally engaged on my birthday and for me it was already a big dream come true.
Another 4 months had passed and he visited me for the second time for our big day --- the wedding. It was I who exerted much effort to make our wedding beautiful and memorable to all who witness and thank goodness, it went well.
Finally, I got my visa to come and be united with him in the states after a painstaking 9 months of waiting for the whole process to be done. Now I am so much happier. After all those thunderstorms in my life, I was able to overcome it all and thank God for the strength he had given me. Thanks to Him for he was always being there for me!
P.S WE ARE NOW BLESSED WITH ONE BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER NAMED Jadyn.
Life's lesson I've learnt is that, it only takes courage and determination to achieve the hardest goal you've ever thought you have in your life. I remember my family and friends told me "I am too ambitious to dream of marrying an American”. I had this saying before, By hook or by crook, whatever happens I will marry the man in my dreams”. I could say that I am stronger now. I am proud of my past. If not because of it, I would not be here right now living happily with my wonderful husband. I hope this will serve as inspiration to those who lost hope finding their love.
Entry #4 - My God's Gift
How wonderful to have a man that is a gift from God. Is it not beautiful? I think so. I will be happy to share my love life to everybody. My love story starts this way, my sister who lives in Texas posted my name in the pen pal lists. We all know that once your name is posted in the pen pal lists, the men who are interested to make friends with you will pay first before they can view your personal information. But in my case was so different. My husband told me the reality how he found my name in the Internet. He said that while he was surfing in the different websites of Filipina singles, it happened that he saw my name with my email address. He was so interested to know my name Victoriana Alferez. He wrote down my email address and started sending emails to me. But what was funny here, since I lived in a province where there were no computers available in our place at that time, my sister in Texas replied his message and she gave my cellphone number. My husband didn't know that my sister replied his message. He called me in my cellphone at 4 o'clock dawn time. He did not know what time was it in the Philippines. I answered his call early in the morning and I was so surprised! When I heard his voice, you couldn't believe it, I was in love with his voice. His voice was so sweet and gentle. That was our very first talk. We exchanged emails after we talked. I had to go to Iligan city that was two hours drive from home down there just to send emails to my sweetheart. He supported my Internets and transportation's expenses. That's fine with me. We built our relationship for almost two years before we agreed each other. He went to the Philippines last 2001 of April to meet me and my whole family. It was also the time where the foreigners were warned not to travel Philippines because it was not safe for them to travel plus the war in Iraq. But my beloved husband did not think about dangers in the Philippines; what was in his heart and mind was to meet me in person. Is he not sweet and brave? He was not scared. He stayed in Iligan City for three weeks. we had a very good time with each other. Before he left the Philippines, he gave me an engagement ring and I accepted it with a big smile and big heart. At that time, I felt very happy that finally I met my real man, a man that my heart was looking for. I had many boyfriends in the Philippines but my heart chose only one and that was my husband. It was unbelievable! He started working of my paper works for fiancee visa and finally I got out Philippines December 17,2003,afternoon and arrived Georgia early in the morning of December 17,2003. We got married January 24,2004. And now we lived happily and God gave us one cute and sweet little baby and we named him Luke Alferez League. Hope you enjoy reading my love story. Thank you and God bless us always!
Entry #3 - We Meant For Each Other
God is really wonderful, when you asked Him something, He give you beyond your expectation. Let me share with you why, and please stick with me while I share my love story between me and my husband.
I haven’t tried using computers in my entire life until in college. One of my roommates taught me how to explore in the net and one of the thing she taught me is how to interact people through chatting. It happens that we found this croosdaily.com where you can browse people’s profiles and get in touch with them. I found my husband’s profile in that website and since he was online I tried to send him an instant message and thankfully he replied. We chatted for almost an hour and decided to exchange personal e-mail address. Its funny though because while I was chatting with him, he was also chatting with my roommates who is sitting beside me ( the one who taught me to use pc) but he is more interested in me lol! After several months of chatting exchanging e-mails we built a serious relationship meaning (boyfriend and girlfriend). One thing I really like about him, he is so sincere and he inspired me with his poems that he made for me. Plus he send me tons of e-mails everyday and he never fail sending me flowers and chocolate on every special occasions. I am still young at that moment but I feel the true meaning of love in spite of the fact that I haven’t meet him yet in person or even in cam.But our relationship didn’t last long because of some personal reason. It hurts a lot when we ended our relationship but I was thinking, I’m still young and I must go on with my life. To make the story short, we continue living each other and haven’t communicate for 4 years. There are lots of things happen in my life, I found new boyfriend and almost got married to him. On the day that I broke up with my ex-fiancĂ©, Jason is online too but I didn’t know because I deleted his yahoo id (take note that is after 4 years!). He started sending instant messages and I was surprised because I taught he deleted my yahoo id too since I haven’t heard from him for 4 years. I replied and we talked like a normal conversation. Since then, we always chat every time I was online. He started courting me back but I wasn’t interested with him anymore because he is the one who broke up with me four years ago. But he is so persistent and keep asking, he said how sorry he is for breaking up with me and everything. He then started sending me flowers again but this is what I said ” if you are really interested in me, come and visit me here and I assure you, I will accept your proposal” he take it seriously and bought a plane ticket right away and visited me on my birthday. When I saw him for the first time, I fall in love with him right away. He is so sincere and 100% good man. Plus I have been praying about having a man like him. To make the story short, we ended up marrying each other and now enjoying with our one and only cutest son! I never thought we will ended up this way after breaking up for 4 years. I must tell that we are really MEANT FOR EACH OTHER, God is leading me to him. I am so blessed and thankful having him in my life. I have NO regrets being with him and I will spend the rest of life with him and our baby.
I hope you enjoy reading our love story, if you haven’t meet the love of your life yet, just keep on praying and you will me amazed how God will answer your prayer.
Love Story Entry #2 - You've Got Mail: Our Love Story
I met J (my husband) through the connivance of my brother-in-law who was then engaged to my elder sister. My brother-in-law asked for my email address thinking that he will add me on his Yahoo! Messenger. But, the other way around it turned out differently and I did not have any clues what he did to my e-mail add, but the next couple of days the budding of fate unfurled along the way.
It was on September 14, 2004 when I got a message from a guy I do not know. At that time, I was about to finished my Nursing Licensure Exam Review in the Philippines. I came home and I was jubilant, but when I opened my inbox there was this message waiting for me that absolutely blown me away. It goes like this, "Hi Princess, I hope this is your email address. I wanted to write you and let you know that I probably won't be around tonight to chat because I am helping M do some stuff for work. But I am still thinking of you and when we talk next I'll tell you about my dreams last night! Anyway, I hope your studying is going well. Talk to you soon, J". I was skeptical at first who this guy was, so I emailed him back and later on we were exchanging e-mails. Naturally, that is how it began. We started typing on IM and one thing lead to another. There were many interesting things happened to me since I knew him online. I do not have any hints as to what he looked like and what were his intentions for me. We were just simply exchanging emails and doing online chat on a daily basis for about an hour or two. We talked a lot and it became obvious that we had a lot in common. We became more and more impressed with each other as the days and weeks went by. We put all our thoughts into e-mails and IM since that was less expensive and more effective for us. Because of time differences, we have had situations like when he went to bed when I was waking, or when we talked he was getting ready to sleep, but we were still on the line. If we could not make it online, then we wrote e-mails about anything. It often happened that we thought of the same things, we felt with common tie and that we are important to one another.
We tried to give as much as possible our real selves and a taste of our real existence. One day, he told me that he will be coming over to the Philippines 3 months after we crossed our path. The much awaited meeting happened when we finally met each other in person on the 16th of December 2004. I was in cloud nine at that time. It was an ecstatic feeling I should say. The moment I saw him going out from the domestic airport I felt there were butterflies in my stomach, nervous and yet excited. I have not felt like this ever since, not until when I met and saw J approaching me. He was smiling from a distance and his smile captivated me. We reached each other and we stood in an embrace for a long time. I was filled with a wonderful sense of calm and happiness after finally seeing each other. During his visit, we learned many things about each other and we enjoyed every moment we spent together. It was surreal! We had experienced beautiful and unforgettable moments that will be forever treasured in our hearts. Our love travels the distance both in time and miles and our love for each other still grows stronger everyday. God is really great because He knows what our hearts desired. He provided a way to bind us for lifetime happiness and never failed to lead us to our destiny. We are going 4 years on September, since then and every moment had been filled with nothing but happiness. We are very much in love with each other. J is my first and my last love. I was hoping that somewhere who knows where; there is a man who is waiting just for me and I have found him.
Contest Updates Entry #1 - "My Love Story
Today is the official day to start our contest and i am happy there are some people who are interested to join. Here is one of the entry today.
I was working at an FBO back in Reno when I met my dear beloved husband about three years ago. He first saw me when he came in to work one night. It was my first night working there and I was on training that same night he went in. He’s a pilot and his run is on a night schedule.
That night we first met the lady I worked with introduced me to him and to his co-pilot. He was very shy but polite. We exchanged hellos and went on to our personal business. But after that night, he never said a word to me again. It took him a year to finally got the courage talk to me and actually carry a conversation. He told me that every time he comes in to work, he gets really nervous when sees me. Oh, so sweet. Makes you think of those moments you had back in high school every time you see your crush.
Anyway, we became really good friends. That’s after a year later of wordless nods and smiles. So one day we agreed to go for a walk. We went to this marina in the city where residents love to go for a swim, walk their dogs or just hang out. It wasn’t a date initially. We both loved the water and we thought the marina is a perfect place to just hang out and talked. A funny thing happened during our walk. A couple was walking the opposite direction as we were and as we were approaching towards them, our arms kind of brushed against each other. I didn’t say anything about it. It was one of those things you didn’t think about until some time later when you mention it during a conversation. It was a day of awakening. And after that day, we realized that we were meant for each other. No letting go. After fives months of dating, he proposed… on a sunset… at the place where we first dated. It was just magical! I cried. I never thought the man I dream of for so long was in front of me, asking me to be part of him for the rest of his life. Until now, not a day he misses to tell me that he loves me until his last breathe. And I am the same way.
So now here we are three years later, a family. It’s what we always dreamed of.
And oh, before I forget. He buys me flowers every 10th of the month. Remember our walk at the marina?
